ESCON took an initiative to build the confidence of people, especially the rural population,tribals and fishermen covering all the 43 Mandals of Visakhapatnam District and roped in 100 NGO organizations to address all the challenges under the Net Work called Visakha Action Centre for Climate Change (VACCC) and established its District Head Quarters at Viman Nagar,Visakhapatnam and offices in all Mandals in the premises of NGO organizations to cater the needs of all sections of the population.

NAGP Team initiated the formation of ACCA Groups(Area Climate Change Action Groups) through the MIAs ,monitored by PMOs and nearly 5000 Groups are formed covering 50,000 families that will serve nearly 3 lakh populations in Climate Change Mitigations and Adaptations. Efforts are being taken to address Agrarian crisis,facilitation of Swatch Andhra Pradesh and Swatch Bharath,Smart villages, Green Development, Organic farming,ecofreindly housing and all possible actions ultimately making the rural areas with Climate Proof and Resilience actions that will ensure rural people with sustainable livelihoods, development and nature friendly ecosystems.

Steps are also initiated to develop minimum one Micro Industry per group that will generate employment, additional income to farmers and stop the access of non environment related inputs .The Program envisages generation of full employment potential, ending of migrations from rural areas and creating all facilities for a dignified life in every villages, along with eradicating social stigmas, bias on women empowerment and push towards complete environmental and natural resources Justice. Leadership is coordinating with NABARD, BANKS, Governemnt,International Agencies for support towards developing a Model Project with all indicators of sustainable Development and resilient villages capable of combating any Climate Change eventualities. The Project is also open to business persons, enterpreuneres,Professionals ,National and international Agencies to work jointly and achieve the objectives of VACCC in consistent with State and National Actions Plans of State and Central Government.
